ORGANIC INTUITIVE EMOTIONAL UNEXPECTED ADORNMENT

Tammy Tiranasar Jewelry is a collection of one of a kind hand knotted necklaces incorporating unique cabochons, semi-precious stones, and beads. I am inspired by the textures, patterns, and colors found in nature. I love finding unexpected, harmonic combinations of shape. Each necklace begins with a question and a general sense of the colors, stones, and beads that excite me. I find pleasure in watching the piece unfold, following where my intuition, imagination and the freeform creative process takes me. I'm guided by the emerging patterns of color and texture as they reveal themselves. As the necklace grows it takes on a life of its own, telling me what it wants to do. I find the rhythmic handwork meditative and relaxing.
My family and I are new residents of South Orange and we love our new home. I am excited to participate in my first SOMA Studio Tour.
