As an amateur potter I started much later in life. I fell in love with pottery, especially with the wheel. I tend strongly towards functional pieces. When we moved to Maplewood I was excited by the opportunity to open myself to following this more fully and followed the example of many in the SOMA community by turning the garage into what I believe is a much more functional space. I hope that being on this tour will help provide an example of how to fit art into a life even when you are pursuing it on a more amateur level.
